ULT 480
Construction
The ULT tenders were designed by Ocean 5 Naval Architects and are currently available in three different sizes.
After multiple requests for a larger and more capable yacht tender, the answer is finally here. Designed in collaboration with Ocean 5 Naval Architects, our new ULT 480 tender was engineered to perform in rougher waters while maximizing payload and minimizing weight. The result is a high-performance, precision-crafted vessel—made possible by advanced 5-axis CNC machined plugs and expertly built molds.
The hull and deck are vacuum-infused and constructed using a .5-inch high-density structural foam coring. Internal bulkheads and full-length stringers—also foam-filled—enhance rigidity and durability. Both bow and stern are reinforced with 2 lb/ft³ structural flotation foam, making this tender not only solid underfoot but also remarkably buoyant and secure in demanding conditions. Despite its robust build, the final weight stays close to 1,000 lbs, hitting a perfect balance between strength and performance.

Standard Features
This 16-foot tender comes packed with premium features designed for comfort, functionality, and adventure. The two-piece construction is strengthened by a vacuum-infused hull and deck, with internal bulkheads and stringers providing structural integrity.
- Center console with forward seating and access to a hatch for either a cooler or live well
- Hydraulic steering for effortless maneuvering
- Bluetooth stereo for entertainment on the water
- Two rod holders, standard for fishing excursions
- 12-inch grab rails for safety and support
- Telescoping swim ladder on the transom for easy boarding
Rated for up to 90 HP and a total capacity of six people (or 1,515 lbs combined weight), this tender offers an impressive power-to-weight ratio. It planes within its own length with a 60 HP motor and a single operator, and cruises comfortably at 30 knots with four adults and two children aboard.
ULT Tenders vs. Inflatables
When comparing traditional tenders to inflatables, the advantages of a solid, high-performance tender quickly become clear. Unlike inflatables, our 16-foot tender delivers superior handling, speed, and load capacity—even in rougher water conditions. Its rigid, vacuum-infused construction and foam-reinforced structure offer a safer, more stable ride without the risk of punctures or deflation.
Inflatables may be lighter, but they often sacrifice durability, payload, and long-term performance. In contrast, our tender provides a capable, low-maintenance alternative with the feel of a full-sized vessel in a compact package—ideal for yacht owners seeking more than just a shuttle to shore.
